Double World Champion & Olympic Silver medalist for the 10km Marathon swim. Founder of Straight0-Line Swimming delivering the STA Open WaterCoaching Qualification and has created a vibrant community of coaches. The event is her brain child as she wants to help all coaches achieve their goals and work towards her mission to ‘empower the world to swim outdoors’.
As well as a keen cold water swimmer, Dr Heather Massey is a senior lecturer at The University of Portsmouth in the School of sport, health and exercise science. Her research interest are thermal, altitude and survival physiology. Heather is working on some exciting swimming research which we cant wait to hear more about.

Alice is one of the Team GB hopefuls to take a spot on the Tokyo 2020 Open Water team next summer, she has had a successful junior career and is World Junior Open Water Champion from 2016. Alice is only 1 of 2 black swimmers to represent the GB in swimming and will be sharing her insights into what its been like to be a black swimmer in Britain and how we can encourage more BAME communities swimming.

Leon is one of the founding coaches at ‘Swim Your Swim’ and also tutors the STA Open Water coaching qualification. Leon runs an open water venue in Doncaster and holds many different competitions including Ice Miles. Leons extensive safety knowledge and experience is invaluable in challenging times like today. He will shine a light on what venue operators are looking for in safe coaches. Leon will also share how you can extend your coaching season.

Triple Olympian in the pool David has taken his love of sport into his new business track record coaching, they are all about coaching leaders, teams and organisations to win. David loves looking into the latest science especially the latest neuroscience to apply to the business and sporting world. David has also been instrumental in developing the Straight-Line Swimming methodology which is helping thousands of swimmers.

Dave is the CEO of The STA who are an international award-winning charity working towards the objective of preserving human life by teaching swimming, life guarding and survival techniques. Dave was instrumental in the development of the Open Water Coaching qualification buy bringing together some of the best minds in open water swimming around the UK. The qualification won ‘Best Collaboration’ at the FAB awards.

Charlie is the social media lead and content editor at GlaxoSmithKline. She will be helping you use social media to build your coaching business. Charlie will help you understand and create a valuable community using social platforms.
